Practices for the spring season will begin early for the Millsaps men’s and women’s golf teams. Having opened the fall season without a coach, the teams hope to see great improvements in the spring. The men will begin their season with an early Feb. 28 tournament at Callaway Gardens. The women will meet up with the men for their first tournament, the Jekyll Island Collegiate, on March 12.

The men will then proceed to the Justin Timberlake Collegiate on April 12 followed by the SAA Championships on April 24. The women will round off their season with the Rhodes Collegiate on March 23, the Callaway Garden’s Collegiate on April 4 and the SAA Conference Championship on April 24.

Coach Brad Johnson has high hopes for both of his teams, and recommends keeping an eye on junior Lauren Barattini, sophomores Ryan Henry and Lauren Durbin, and freshman Ryan Martin, all of whom were top scorers for the Majors last semester.
