It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That’s right: Halloween. In celebration for such a glorious occasion, I have compiled some especially spooky episodes and movies that are currently featured on Netflix and Hulu.

Netflix:

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Sure, Christmas is in the title of this classic holiday movie, but Jack Skellington and the citizens of Halloween Town are bound to give you a little fright.

Donnie Darko (2001)
A common Halloween favorite, Donnie Darko is a great fantasy-like throwback starring a young Drew Barrymore.

The Twilight Zone (1963)
A historically boundary-pushing thriller series, The Twilight Zone’s seasons 1-3 and season 5 are the only ones currently on Netflix. Some of my favorite episodes are S1E16, S3E3, S3E14 and S5E6.

Scooby Doo (2002)
It isn’t exactly comparable to the original Scooby Doo cartoons I watched as a kid, but this live-action movie is packed with all your favorites: monsters, ghosts, haunted castles and, of course, delicious Scooby Snacks.

Goosebumps (1998)
R.L. Stine’s book series came to life in this 1998 series. Seasons 1-4 are available to stream, along with a collection of Goosebumps specials.

The Addams Family (1991)
Mysterious and spooky, this family lives every day like it is Halloween.

Hush (2016)
I just recently watched this film and (granted, I am a scared-y cat) it was almost too much to handle all at once. If you want a modern and vivid thriller, check out this movie, but be sure to first lock all of your doors and windows before you press play.

Stranger Things (2017)
Season 2 of Stranger Things was released October 27th. Grab your gang and get ready to binge watch this exhilarating series. (Season 1 is still available if you’re a little behind.)

Hulu:

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)
Director J.J. Abrams brings a thriller riddled with surprises.

Parks and Recreation, “Halloween Surprise” (2012)
This episode of Parks and Rec. is like most episodes of Parks and Rec.— this time with some Halloween fun added in the mix.

Key & Peele, “Michael Jackson Halloween” (2012)
Jordan and Keegan celebrate the spooky holiday by escaping from racist zombies, and Noah finds out the Michael Jackson died.

Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, “A Halloween Story” (1996)
Although the entirety of Sabrina: The Teenage Witch is worth watching, my favorite Halloween episode is S1E5. Sabrina must be in two places at once on Halloween— a scary predicament!

The Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Cult classic. Must watch…just maybe not alone?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, “Halloween” (1997)
Any Buffy episode is great for the holiday, but S2E6 is perfect for October 31st.

The Mindy Project, “Halloween” (2012)
Mindy has difficulties when it comes to her Halloween costume. Don’t we all, Mindy?
